President Barack Obama's 2012 campaign playlist, otherwise known as the music that will set the tone for his upcoming rallies and other campaign-related appearances, was revealed on Facebook Thursday morning, and the rundown is filled with a surprising mix of old and new hits that hint at hope and the promise of staying together.

Well, given that message, there is one song that isn't really much of a surprise. Al Green's classic tune, "Let's Stay Together," which recently earned the president plenty of praise when he sang a sample of it at New York's legendary Apollo Theater, made the cut. Still, seeing Green's song alongside Arcade Fire's "We Used to Wait," ELO's "Mr. Blue Sky" and ?Keep Me In Mind? from the Zac Brown Band makes for an overall unexpected assortment.
